Apron of the women’s traditional costume of Metaxades, Thrace. The fabric is black and has woven yellow and brown speckled decoration. The bottom is embellished with appliqued fabric strips in blue, green and brown and one with red and green vegetal motifs, and also an embroidered yellow broken stripe. White and yellow lace has been added between the ribbons. White decorative lace is sewn around three sides. Two laces in white, red and blue colours have been added to the top, so the apron can be tied around the waist.
