Woollen belt of the women’s traditional costume of Kavakli, Thrace (Eastern Rumelia region, present-day Bulgaria). The fabric is folded diagonally to become double. It is embellished with woven oblique narrow stripes in green, yellow, blue, black and brown colours. The belts were woven on the loom and tied around the waist over the dress (tsukna).
