Woollen belt of the women’s traditional costume of Kavakli, Thrace (Eastern Rumelia region, present-day Bulgaria). The fabric is folded diagonally to become double. It is embellished with woven oblique narrow and wide stripes in green, yellow, blue, white and purple colours. The belts were woven on the loom and tied around the waist over the dress (tsukna).
