White cotton overcoat (sayias) of the women’s traditional costume from Alexandreia (Roumlouki), Imathia. The neckline is round and deep, reaching down to the sternum, where it is tied with a white ribbon. The two front panels are folded and secured on the back of the waist. They are embellished with an appliqued embroidered pattern of semi-circles, called dachtla, in blue, red, brown and gold.
