Tzipuna – Sleeveless vest of the women’s traditional costume of Corfu. It is part of the formal/festive attire. It is short (waist-length) and sewn from azure velvet. Around the neckline, waist and armholes, it is embellished with yellow cord. On its two front scalloped ends, there is gold embroidery with rosettes. At the bottom of the neckline and around the waist, it is embroidered with gold wavy patterns. The back is embellished with a band of red velvet in the shape of a trapezoid without the large side, embroidered with a gold lattice pattern. Each of the two corners has an embroidered gold rosette.
