Tepelik – Head covering of the women’s traditional costume of Pontus. The inside is made of felt. A rosette with eight petals has been embroidered with gold thread at the top. On the edge, around the circumference, there is a row of embroidered coins. Between the coins and the rosette, there is a fabric band with vegetal motifs. The tepelik was worn by young women of marriageable age, as well as married women. Donated to the Lykeion ton Ellinidon of Naoussa as a keepsake.
