Children’s sleeveless woollen vest of the traditional costume of Asvestochori, Thessaloniki, for boys. It consists of two brown front panels and one red back panel, which are joined together by two brown side panels. There are four rows of black cord around the round neckline, with black decorative embroidery between the last two. A row of black cord continues around the waist and ends at the sides. The front panels are joined together with the two side panels by black embroidery. On the back, the lower half of the vertical axis is open and closes with a lace. Around the opening and on the waist, it is embellished with white and black embroidery. The decoration is completed by embroidered white vegetal motifs. A small pocket of the same brown fabric as the front has been added to the left side and is decorated with white stitching. The vest is double-breasted and buttons at the front with three buttons. The button loops are bordered by black embroidery.
