Tepelik – Head covering of the women’s traditional costume of Pontus. The inside is made of felt. The top features intricate gold embroidery with vegetal motifs and a rosette in the centre. On the edge, around the circumference, there is a row of embroidered coins. Between the coins and the rosette, there is a fabric band with vegetal motifs. The tepelik was worn by young women of marriageable age, as well as married women. Donated to the Lykeion ton Ellinidon of Naoussa as a keepsake.
