Konstantinos Typaldos Iakovatos was elected titular Metropolitan of Stavroupolis in August 1848. His ordination took place on August 15, 1848, the feast of the Dormition of the Virgin, with a patriarchal and synodical Divine Liturgy in the Patriarchal Church.
