Administrative History

Konstantinos Typaldos Iakovatos went to Constantinople in 1843. In 1844 he was appointed Professor of Theology and Philosophy at the newly established Theological School of Halki as well as its first Head of School. On June 4, 1845, he received the rank of Archimandrite. On August 21, 1847, he was promoted to Grand Archimandrite of the Ecumenical Throne. On August 15, 1848, he was ordained titular Metropolitan of Stavroupoli at the Patriarchal Church of St. George in Fanari, Constantinople
